Dermal fillers do have some risks which is why it is important to see an experienced injector. Should the filler be inadvertently injected into the artery, it can block the artery. This is a rare occurrence and leads to damage of the skin supplied by the artery. Should the filler get into the artery going to the eye it can cause blindness. This is very rare and is at highest risk when treating the nose or the Glabella area between the eyebrows.
Hyaluronic Acid Dermal fillers can be broken down by an enzyme called Hyaluronidase. Hyaluronidase dissolves any unwanted filler and treats complications like vascular occlusions.
At The Aesthetics Centre we use the following Dermal filler Brands – Juvederm and Teoxane. Dermal fillers are medical devices and must be administered by a Healthcare professional.
A consultation is required before your initial treatment – this is $250 and will be credited towards your first treatment.
